Job summary

MAXIMUS UK is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to perform assessments and provide case managers with advice on PIP referrals. You will handle complex cases across physical and mental health conditions and contribute to professional development through a tailored training programme with ongoing support.

The role offers flexible working options (full-time, part-time and hybrid) and opportunities for CPD, development, and accreditation support within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorship.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to determine eligibility for benefits.
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
