Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group in Eastbourne is seeking a Nurse to join our caring team at Sovereign Lodge. The role offers full-time and part-time hours with alternate weekends, paying £22.50 per hour.

You will provide direct care, manage medications, assist with admissions, and develop care plans. A thorough induction and ongoing clinical training are provided by our established team.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration required.
• Up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices.
• Experience writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans.
• Good understanding of MCA/DoLs regulations.
• Willingness to undertake induction and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs.
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication.
• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents.
• Weekly GP rounds.
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable.
• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times.

Sovereign Lodge provides residential and nursing care in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment. Situated a short drive to the seafront in the town of Eastbourne.The staff adopt a person-centred approach and genuinely care for residents.

What would a typical day look like?

• Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs


• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication


• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents


• Weekly GP rounds


• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable


• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times

Our nursing team are the backbone of our home and it is essential that our team have current NMC registrations, up to date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs is also required.
