Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking an engineer to join the Simulation and Assessment team. You will perform FEA analyses of nuclear components to design codes like ASME III or RCC-M, manage project planning, delivery and reporting, and communicate with customers’ technical leads.

The role may involve working within client teams or delivering projects from Assystem offices, with 1–2 days remote per week in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical fundamentals – structures, mechanics and fluids.
• Hands-on modelling with Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, CFD.
• Experience with safety-related code assessments (ASME, RCC‑M, KTA).
• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver FEA assessments of components for nuclear design codes.
• Plan, deliver and report projects; communicate with technical leads.
• Collaborate in embedded client teams or from Assystem offices.
