Job summary

Assystem is a leading nuclear engineering firm. This role focuses on FEA assessments of components for nuclear systems using ANSYS, Abaqus and related tools, with planning, delivery and reporting responsibilities.

You will collaborate with client teams, communicate with technical leads, and may work from Assystem offices or within client environments. A UK driving license and travel are required, with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, Catia or SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with computer based modelling codes such as Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran and CFD.
• Experience with code assessments in safety-related industry (ASME, RCC-M, KTA or similar).
• Previous nuclear or fusion industry experience.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel within the UK.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status.

Responsibilities

• Deliver FEA assessments of components for nuclear systems using codes like ASME III or RCC-M.
• Plan, deliver and report projects and communicate with customer technical leads.
• Work with client teams or deliver projects from Assystem offices.
