Job summary

Assystem is seeking an engineer to deliver FEA assessments on nuclear components in line with design codes such as ASME III or RCC-M. You will plan, execute, and report projects, communicating with customers' technical leads and internal teams.

Working within Assystem's Simulation and Assessment group, you will use tools like Abaqus, Ansys, and CFD, while developing your skills through mentoring, training, and diverse engagements across the UK.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical fundamentals and ability to sense-check analysis results.
• Hands-on modelling with Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran and CFD.
• Appreciation of safety-related code assessments (ASME RCC-M, etc).
• Engineering degree or equivalent; UK driving licence and travel capability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver FEA assessments of nuclear components for design codes.
• Plan, execute, and report on simulation projects with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client teams and internal engineers to meet milestones.
