Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Head of Nuclear Security to lead our Nuclear Services security function and shape strategy at executive level. Based at Gloucester Business Park, you will travel to sites weekly and ensure governance, compliance and trusted regulator relationships are maintained.

You will drive major security initiatives and lead a cross-functional team with a focus on accountability and development.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management in complex organisations.
• Strong Stakeholder Management at all levels, incl. regulators and government bodies.
• Experience operating at executive level with cross-functional interaction.
• Delivering security projects in agile environments.
• Knowledge of relevant security legislation and high-risk operations.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry with strategy development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nuclear Security team across Cyber and physical security, driving accountability and development.
• Oversee delivery of strategic business priorities for Nuclear Services.
• Ensure security activities comply with site licences, regulations and procedures.
• Provide security oversight across Nuclear Services operations and projects.
• Build relationships with regulators, government bodies and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with security teams across the nuclear fleet and new-build programmes for consistency.
