Job summary

EDF Energy, a leading UK energy provider, seeks a Head of Nuclear Security to direct security governance and regulatory compliance across Nuclear Services, supporting existing fleet and new-build programmes. Based at Gloucester Business Park with weekly site visits, you will shape strategy, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement with a collaborative leadership team.

You will oversee cross-functional security teams, engage regulators and government bodies, and ensure top-tier security

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in security within a regulated industry.
• Experience delivering security programs across multiple sites and with regulators.
• DV clearance eligibility and UK residency history.

Responsibilities

• Lead Nuclear Security team, including cyber and physical security.
• Deliver strategic priorities aligned to site licence requirements and regulations.
• Provide security oversight and assurance across Nuclear Services operations and projects.
• Build relationships with regulators, government bodies and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with security teams across fleet and new-build programmes to maintain standards.
• Guide delivery functions in Nuclear Services and lead the business.
