Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Head of Nuclear Security to lead our Nuclear Services security function, providing direction, oversight and governance across our fleet and new-build projects. The role requires engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders, delivering strategic priorities, and ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.

You will manage a cross-functional team, work with executive leadership, and operate in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Effective people management and leadership of diverse teams.
• Strong stakeholder management with regulators and government bodies.
• Executive-level collaboration across functions and sites.
• Proven delivery experience in agile environments.
• Knowledge of relevant security legislation and high-risk security operations.
• Experience in highly regulated industries and strategic security planning.
• Commercial awareness and budgeting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nuclear Security team across Cyber and physical security.
• Oversee delivery of strategic business priorities within Nuclear Services.
• Ensure security activities comply with site licence requirements and regulations.
• Provide security oversight and assurance across operations and projects.
• Build relationships with regulators, government bodies and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with security teams across the nuclear fleet and new-build programmes.
• Coordinate with delivery functions to drive business success.
