Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Senior Training Developer for our Devonport Dockyard site in Plymouth, Devon. The role focuses on analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training for nuclear-implicated personnel and stakeholders, supporting safety and national security objectives.

Day-to-day you will influence learning and capability across a major defence organisation, maintaining nuclear safety standards, contributing to workforce development and supporting operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
• Experience designing, delivering or evaluating learning solutions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated or safety-focused environments.
• Ability to coach and mentor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing training programmes using SAT methodology.
• Analyzing, implementing and evaluating nuclear training requirements.
• Coaching colleagues on training development processes and best practice.
• Ensuring training aligns with site licence, regulations and procedures.
• Providing assurance that training standards reflect industry best practice.
