Job summary

At Babcock, the Engineering Manager role is based at the Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. You will provide leadership, governance and technical oversight for complex engineering projects within a major defuel programme, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the lifecycle.

The role is full-time with hybrid arrangements and a focus on delivering national-defence-focused infrastructure and services, while developing leadership capabilities alongside senior professionals.

Qualifications

• Leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams and suppliers.
• Experience delivering facility design projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Experience in nuclear licensed or similarly regulated environments.
• Governance, technical assurance and stakeholder engagement across projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and suppliers to deliver multiple projects safely and on schedule.
• Oversee resources, priorities and workload to support objectives.
