Job summary

Babcock International Group invites applications for its two-year Nuclear Safety Engineering and Operations Graduate Programme based in Devonport, Plymouth. You will rotate through placements, support safe operation and development of nuclear facilities, and work on real-world projects with multidisciplinary teams.

The programme includes structured mentorship, Masterclasses, and guidance toward professional status, with a starting salary of at least £35,000 depending on location and role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM subject.
• Eligibility for BPSS, Security Check (SC) and NNPI clearance.
• This post may require UK nationality or settled status.

Responsibilities

• Support safe operation, maintenance and development of nuclear and radiological facilities.
• Review engineering designs for compliance with nuclear safety standards; develop safety cases and hazard analyses.
• Perform risk assessments and modelling; prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Grow technical and professional skills through structured development and multi-site placements.
