Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Principal Safety Case Consultant to lead safety strategy for the UK’s most complex nuclear projects. You will provide technical leadership across diverse programmes, shape safety case strategies from concept through delivery, mentor consultants and ensure compliance with UK regulatory standards.

The role requires extensive nuclear safety case experience, leadership skills and a track record of delivering high‑quality safety documentation

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering nuclear safety cases across complex engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering and its integration into safety case development.
• Familiarity with specialist safety disciplines and nuclear legislation/regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams; Chartered Engineer status desirable or working toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert leadership across the full project lifecycle of safety case activities.
• Lead safety case strategy development to ensure regulatory compliance and high technical quality.
• Mentor Safety Case Consultants to build capability within the team.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and specialist disciplines to deliver integrated safety solutions.
