Lead the Safety Strategy Behind the UK's Most Complex Nuclear Projects. Are you an experienced Principal Safety Case Consultant ready to lead high‑profile nuclear programmes and influence safety strategy at the highest level? We’re looking for an accomplished safety professional to provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of major nuclear projects. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, shape safety case strategies from concept through to delivery, mentor the next generation of consultants, and ensure compliance with the UK’s rigorous nuclear regulatory standards.
As a Principal Safety Case Consultant, you will provide expert leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of complex safety case activities while driving technical quality and regulatory compliance.
You’ll bring: extensive experience delivering nuclear safety cases across complex engineering projects; strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering and its integration into safety case development; understanding of specialist safety disciplines such as criticality assessment, shielding and dose assessment, environmental assessment, and human factors; relevant nuclear legislation and regulatory requirements; excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams; an engineering or science degree (or equivalent experience); Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership (desirable); eligibility to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance.
