Job summary

NUVIA invites applications for a Civil Structural Engineer at our Warrington site. This permanent, hybrid role focuses on design engineering for critical programmes across nuclear, defence and energy sectors.

You will produce discipline designs, support safety reviews, and ensure timely, compliant documentation while contributing to flagship national projects. A degree in engineering and Chartered status are highly regarded.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline.
Experience in design within a highly regulated industry.
Understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations.
Proven track record delivering design solutions in a project environment.
Self-motivated with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Good commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

Provide design engineering services within the discipline.
Produce discipline-specific design and engineering deliverables to support the project.
Report to Senior or Principal Engineer.
Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications and deliverables.
Check and author basic design calculations; contribute to design and safety reviews.
Prepare technical specifications, risk assessments and installation method statements.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of design documentation across all design phases; comply with safety regulations; develop cost-effective technical solutions.
