Job summary

NUVIA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Warrington to lead day-to-day design activities within the Civil & Structural team. This hands-on role interfaces with other disciplines and may include supervising Graduates, Apprentices, or Designers as needed.

You will report to the Principal Engineer and contribute to projects across nuclear, defence, and energy sectors, delivering safety-critical designs on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamentals of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel.
• Experience delivering designs in a design delivery position.
• Understanding of structural steel connections and connection types.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with strong teamwork.
• Interfacing with other engineering disciplines in project design teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation throughout the design process.
• Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications.
• Prepare supporting design calculations to substantiate design.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical documentation.
• Interface with safety legislation and risk assessments where required.
