Aureos is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to support a major demolition project on a nuclear licensed site in Dungeness. You will provide expert health, safety, quality assurance and environmental guidance, promote risk reduction and lead a strong HSEQ culture across the project team.

Key responsibilities include facilitating risk workshops, maintaining the risk register and CPP, and reporting on HSQE metrics while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma – Level 6 (or similar).
• IOSH Chartered Membership.
• Valid driving licence.
• CSCS Health and Safety Managers Card.
• At least 5 years in heavy construction and/or demolition.
• Major projects experience.
• Experience with a Tier 1 contractor (≥3 years).
• Experience in accident investigations and follow-up.
• Excellent understanding of CDM 2015 and related HSE legislation.
• Proven track record of improving health and safety performance.
• Proactive health and safety management.
• Strong time management and relationship skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and HSQE systems.

Responsabilités

• De-risk high hazard work scopes via prevention.
• Facilitate risk assessment workshops with project team and SMEs.
• Maintain health and safety risk register and CPP.
• Coordinate with Client project team as nuclear licence holder.
• Contribute to company initiatives and lessons learned.
• Track HSQE KPI information and produce reports.
• Attend internal/external meetings and promote business activities.
• Review CDM and HSEQ documents with operations.
• Assure processes and methods; monitor management system.
• Develop, maintain and promote positive HSQE culture.
• Ensure standards and client requirements compliance.
• Task analysis of risk assessments and method statements.
• Advise staff on sustainable practices.
• Ensure findings closed within timescales.
• Share lessons with wider team and manage resources cost-effectively.
• Raise issues to higher level as necessary.
• Provide required HSQE advice.
