Job summary

KLA is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer in the Product Support Organization to drive service readiness for new products across the Etch, PVD, CVD, and Release Etch portfolios. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Global Service to deploy products and ensure a smooth transition into sustaining support.

The role emphasizes planning PSP/SRR/DFS/COS models, training across the organization, and leading beta installations with on-site audits and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold a MSc or BSc degree with relevant work experience.
• Experience in a Systems/Electrical/Mechanical or NPI/Process Engineer role.
• Strong analytic and data analysis skills.
• Motivated by helping others succeed, enjoys teaching, troubleshooting, working with groups of people, and explaining sophisticated things as simply as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop service strategy across PLC for new products, including CoS modeling, reliability modeling, retrofits, IP protections, calibrations, and PM optimizations.
• Build hands-on expertise in system operation, integration, and calibrations/diagnostics by learning from Tech Support Engineers and Design Engineers for Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits.
• Start building a detailed Product Support Plan (PSP), Service Readiness Review (SRR), Design For Service (DFS) and Cost Of Service (COS) models with cross-functional teams.
• Develop product service education across the PSO using training classes, AR, coaching, documents, and knowledge capture tools to elevate readiness.
• Conduct spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordinate with Spares Planning to mitigate service supply chain risk and address known issues.
• Contribute to service alert meetings and Plan of Action (POA) development for critical issues and other sustaining activities, capturing BKM into knowledge base.
• Work with cross-divisional NPI Best Practice Team to improve BKMs through discussions, training, and feedback.
• Actively manage and support beta installs in-person by auditing procedures, updating documents, identifying training gaps, and solving issues to drive continuous improvement.
