Job summary

Sepura is seeking an NPI Engineer to drive the lifecycle of product development from concept to production and support. You will transfer products to key production processes, work with contract manufacturers, and ensure high-volume, quality manufacturing.

You will lead transfer activities, define DFMA rules, and coordinate prototype builds, supplier documentation, and production ramp readiness across our Waterbeach, Cambridge operations.

Qualifications

• A good academic record with higher education in a scientific or engineering subject.
• Demonstration of significant relevant experience in a similar engineering role.
• Six Sigma
• Statistical Process Control
• DFM

Responsibilities

• NPI / Manufacturing / Production / Process Engineering across electro-mechanical products.
• Manage end-to-end NPI process from concept to production ramp.
• Develop electro-mechanical production processes such as SMT & electro-mechanical assembly.
• Apply process knowledge to root cause issues in assembly and test.
• Coordinate NPI deliverables with wider project schedule.
• Experience with electronics contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of low-cost manufacturing techniques.
• Experience with PLM systems (Oracle Agile).
• Travel to customers and suppliers as required.
