Job summary
Sepura is seeking an NPI Engineer to drive the complete lifecycle from concept to production and support, based in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire. You will use DFMA to transfer products into PCBA, final assembly and packing, coordinating with contract manufacturers for high-volume output.
You will lead design for manufacture decisions, manage prototypes and develop equipment and processes to meet yield and capacity targets. Travel to suppliers and customers is expected.
Qualifications
- NPI/Manufacturing/Process Engineer with end-to-end NPI experience.
- Experience with electronics contract manufacturers.
- Six Sigma and SPC knowledge.
- DFM knowledge for PCB and moulding.
Responsibilities
- Transfer and introduce new product developments to the supply chain.
- Lead supply chain readiness with production partners for high-volume output.
- Develop and qualify new manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Define design for manufacture and assembly rules.
- Manage prototype builds and logistics.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Provide ongoing support to production partners post ramp.
- Prepare supplier work instructions and documentation.
- Ensure all operations teams are prepared for new product introductions.
