Job summary

This established Cambridge technology company is seeking an experienced NPI engineer to drive designs from concept to manufacture and lead process improvements, test strategy design, and documentation. You will manage prototype boards, evaluation, and ensure EMC/thermal compliance, working with manufacturing partners to streamline transitions to production.

The role requires hands-on electronics experience, a 1st or 2.1 degree in electronics, and UK work permission.

Qualifications

• A 1st or 2.1 degree in electronics or closely related discipline.
• Expertise with prototyping PCBAs and an understanding of EMC, thermal management, quality standards, and design for manufacture, and obsolescence.
• Prior experience of bringing new electronic products to manufacturing (preferably high speed or embedded).
• Hands-on electronic engineering skills, problem solving ability, and proficiency with Gerbers and BOMs.
• Full, existing UK work permission without time limit or the need for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of new concepts to manufacturing and drive process improvements.
• Design test strategies, create documentation, and manage prototype boards build and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and collaborate with manufacturing partners.
