Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with solid confidence in heavy mechanical work and diagnostic fault isolation.
• Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent garage background.
• Active MOT Tester licence preferred but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform core mechanical repairs including timing chains/belts, clutch kits, engine overhauls and suspension rebuilds.
• Use multi-brand diagnostic tools to isolate and fix mechanical, software and electrical faults accurately.
• Complete servicing, safety inspections, brake/suspension overhauls, and pre-MOT checks.
• Write detailed repair notes on job sheets and keep front-desk informed on timelines.
• Maintain clean, organized bays compliant with health and safety guidelines.
