Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Nottingham is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a busy, family-owned repair and diagnostic hub. You will handle deep mechanical work, use diagnostic scanners, perform maintenance and pre-MOT checks, and document results for the service desk.

The role offers a stable environment with a supportive team and modern workshop facilities. Applicants should be time-served with heavy repair experience and hold Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent, plus a full UK

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with strong confidence in heavy mechanical repairs and fault isolation.
• Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Repair or solid time-served garage experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Tackle deep mechanical jobs including cambelts, timing chains, clutch replacements, and engine/gearbox rebuilds.
• Use modern multi-brand diagnostic scanners to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform routine maintenance, oil services, and pre-MOT health checks across all makes and models.
• Keep accurate notes on job cards and report additional work to the service desk.
• Keep working area tidy and work safely with colleagues.
