Job summary

Hawk Hiring seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician in Leicester to join an independent automotive and diagnostic specialist renowned for solving complex electrical faults and engine management issues. The role offers modern bays, multi-brand diagnostic equipment, and a team-first culture.

Core duties include deep-level diagnostics, major mechanical repairs, and routine servicing with health checks. MOT knowledge is advantageous, full UK driving license required, and a supportive environment awaits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background).
• Strong diagnostic problem-solving abilities and heavy mechanical repair skills are required.
• MOT Tester licence is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and isolate issues across multi-brand vehicle electronics and CAN-bus systems.
• Perform major mechanical repairs including timing chain/belt overhauls, gearbox replacements, clutch builds and head gaskets.
• Perform routine servicing, health checks, and pre-MOT safety evaluations.
• Record findings on digital job cards and advise on repair paths.
