Job summary

Envipco is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead our North West operations in the UK. The role starts hands-on, installing and maintaining pilot machines, then shifts to managing regional engineers and service delivery.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will balance practical engineering work with people leadership, safety and cost control, while driving service standards and customer satisfaction across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Strong electro-mechanical engineering skills, including installation, maintenance and diagnostics.
• Experience in field service and leading or managing engineering teams.
• Experience coordinating service or installation activity across multiple sites.
• Understanding of service level agreements, workforce planning and performance targets.
• Sound health and safety knowledge, commercial awareness and organisational skills.
• Clear communication and a practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel throughout the North West.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on pilot machines.
• Managing regional installations, preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Working with the Service Centre to prioritise jobs, coordinate engineers and meet service commitments.
• Planning resources, workloads and routes to provide effective regional coverage.
• Supporting engineer recruitment, onboarding and training as the team grows.
• Leading engineers through coaching, clear objectives and performance reviews.
• Monitoring first-time fixes, response times, productivity and outstanding work.
• Maintaining safe working practices, risk assessments and method statements.
• Controlling regional costs and ensuring accurate service records.
• Resolving customer escalations and improving operational processes.
