Arup’s North England policy and spatial strategy team is seeking an Associate/Associate Director to grow our policy and spatial strategy business across the North. You will lead client relationships, identify opportunities, and drive bids and project delivery with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires MRTPI, experience in local/strategic plan work, and a track record in business development. Hybrid work from northern offices is offered, with a focus on delivering high-impact planning

Qualifications

• Knowledge of policy and spatial strategy legislation including legacy and new local plan systems and strategic planning.
• Established relationships with key clients (MHCLG, Homes England, Combined Authorities or major local authorities and developers).
• Experience in preparing local/strategic plans and leading evidence base documents; engaging with Members and senior officers.

Responsabilités

• Grow market share by identifying prospects and leading successful bids.
• Engage with existing and potential clients to maintain a strong pipeline of repeat work.
• Lead project delivery with clear client interface, strategic direction, QA and profitability.
• Interface with multi-disciplinary teams across Arup to maximise opportunities and ensure integrated delivery.
• Role based in northern offices (Leeds/Sheffield/Manchester/Liverpool/Newcastle) on a hybrid basis.
