Job summary

Caterpillar Desford is seeking a Nodes Quality Technician to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will audit defects, identify root causes, and coordinate with operations to implement fixes. Regularly liaise with US Node facilities and drive corrective actions based on defect data.

The role requires collaboration across shifts when needed and adherence to KPI-driven processes, ensuring products meet customer and dealer expectations.

Qualifications

• Quality knowledge and the ability to audit defects and identify root causes.
• Experience with lean, Six Sigma and structured problem solving.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Audit machine defects to identify root causes and support fixes.
• Coordinate with operations and team leaders to improve processes.
• Maintain regular contact with US Node facilities via meetings.
• Use defect data to drive interim and permanent corrective actions.
• Complete tasks on time following company processes.
