Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a quality-focused professional to strengthen the link between operations and engineering. You will work across shifts as needed, auditing defects, and driving corrective actions using lean methods. You will collaborate with US Node facilities and frontline teams to improve product quality and process efficiency.

Focus on root-cause analysis, structured problem solving, and data-driven decisions to reduce defects and support sustainable improvements across lines.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality gates or gate-like processes on machine builds.
• Familiarity with EPIX, Team Centre, PRWB or SWES.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with operations and team leaders.
• Audit machine defects to identify root causes and support fixes.
• Maintain regular contact with US Node facilities via daily/weekly meetings.
• Use defect data to drive Interim and Permanent Corrective Actions (ICA/PCA).
• Complete tasks on time and in line with company processes.
• Be flexible and willing to work across shifts when needed.
