About the Role

As an NOC Engineer, you will enhance your networking skills within a diverse IT environment, supporting an international company dedicated to reducing energy waste and costs.

You will be part of a team of 8 NOC Engineers, responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery across the company's network. This includes supporting and maintaining Cisco, Palo Alto, and Linux network infrastructures, ensuring compliance with strict Information Security Management best practices, and proactively monitoring the uptime of IT systems, servers, and services to address outages promptly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in proactive IT upgrades and scheduled penetration testing.
2. Support service delivery with management reports on KPIs.
3. Operate on a rotating 24/7 shift pattern, including two 12-hour shifts and three 6-hour shifts weekly, with out-of-hours shifts worked from home.
4. Make occasional visits to data centres around the South to ensure reliable service delivery and support ongoing infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience supporting data centre environments is preferred. Additional qualifications include:

• Microsoft: MCSE, MCSA
• VMWare: VCP
• Cisco: CCNA/CCNP
• CompTIA: Network+
• Wireshark: WCNA
• Linux: Linux-related certifications or experience (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) are beneficial.
