Location: Redruth, Cornwall. Full-time, on-site.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits such as bonus, private health, enhanced pension, and more.
Working Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off; 8-8 shifts (alternating between days and nights).
This role is with a growing telecoms service provider that is well-funded and continuously securing new contracts across private and public sectors.
The company has over 250 employees and operates globally, providing connectivity, communication, and IT solutions to sectors including maritime, defense, and commercial.
You will join a team of 10 engineers in the Redruth office, working within the Network Operations Center (NOC). Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be part of a shift team comprising 6-10 engineers, including first, second, and third-line specialists, as well as a team lead.
Your responsibilities include handling escalations from first-line support and proactively monitoring various systems. Some systems are bespoke, so a willingness to learn and a solid foundational knowledge are essential. Effective communication with internal teams and external customers is key, making service provider experience highly desirable.
Ideal candidates will have a background in satellite communications or telecoms, possibly from a customer-facing role in a similar environment. Whether you're currently at 2nd line support or have been at 1st line for several years and seeking a new challenge, this role offers growth opportunities.
