Job summary

VanRath in Belfast is seeking a proactive NOC Engineer to join a fast-paced 24/7 operations team. You will work in a challenging, enterprise IT environment, gaining hands-on experience with networks, monitoring tools, and incident resolution.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with a 4 on/4 off rotating day and night pattern (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am) and a shift allowance; eligibility for security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a NOC, Service Desk, or IT Support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and IT infrastructure.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching fundamentals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts.
• Eligible to obtain security clearance.

Essential:

• Previous experience in a NOC, Service Desk, or IT Support environment

• Previous exposure to critical infrastructure or high-availability environments
• Experience working with telecoms, MSPs, or enterprise support teams
• Knowledge of networking technologies including routing and switching
