Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd is seeking a Waking Night Residential Support Worker to provide overnight care and safeguarding for children in our residential home. You will be the calm, reassuring presence through the night, supporting children until morning.

The role focuses on night-time supervision, safeguarding, recording and handovers to day staff, with opportunities for professional development and Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare upon progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in overnight residential care is desirable.
• Ability to monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake and alert during night shifts and carry out welfare checks.
• Provide reassurance to children waking during the night and maintain a safe environment.
• Record detailed night reports and handover to day staff with key information.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and incidents promptly following procedures.
• Support family, social workers, and professionals to ensure consistent care.
