Job summary

Resicare Alliance Children's Care seeks a Waking Night Residential Support Worker to provide overnight care and safeguarding for children in our residential home. You will be the constant, reassuring presence through the night, ensuring safety and support until morning.

Role requires calmness under pressure, reliability, and commitment to safeguarding. Training and development towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare will be supported.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in safeguarding and night-time care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake and alert throughout your shift, performing welfare checks as per care plans.
• Support children who wake during the night with reassurance and assistance.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and settled night-time environment.
• Follow care plans, behaviour strategies, and risk assessments; uphold safeguarding standards.
• Record detailed night reports and handovers to day staff; maintain monitoring logs.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, education staff, and other professionals to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings to develop practice.
