CrossReach Trading Ltd. is seeking a Night Support Practitioner for Dumbrock House to help create a safe, nurturing environment for young people during night hours. You will work independently, using calm judgment and a relationship-focused approach to respond to individual needs.

The role runs on a six-month fixed-term basis with potential extensions across CrossReach services, subject to vacancies. Applicants should have care/education experience, a driving licence, and be prepared for PVG,

Competenze

• Experience of working in care and/or education, with understanding of positive relationships in supporting children and young people.
• Able to assess situations, make sound decisions and respond appropriately to challenges.
• Must meet PVG and SSSC requirements and be prepared for professional registration.

Mansioni

• Provide reassurance and emotional support to children and young people who may be unsettled or distressed.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured environment throughout the night.
• Respond calmly to incidents or unexpected situations using a therapeutic approach.
• Record accurately and share information with colleagues to support care plans.
• Assist with routines and transitions between night and day shifts.
