Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Dunoon is recruiting for a Residential Childcare Worker on the night shift. You will support young people with daily routines, ensure a caring, safe environment, and document progress using digital care records.

Training will be provided; DBS/PVG checks are required. Benefits include a £500 Welcome Bonus, a £1000 Refer a Friend Bonus, full-time contract with paid induction, and ongoing career development plus 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, ASN or support work beneficial.
• Willingness to use electronic care recording systems; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines (getting ready for school, meals, activities).
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support.
• Recordkeeping and use of care software (Clearcare an advantage).
• Participate in trips and creative activities with the group.
