Job summary

Lidl GB is seeking a Shift Leader to help run operations in one of our warehouses, leading by example and training new starters. You’ll open, run and close shifts, support your team and work to ensure excellent teamwork across the shift.

The role offers a 40 hours per week contract with a £30,000–£37,000 salary, night shifts 20:00–06:30, and benefits including 30–35 days’ holiday (pro rata), a 10% in-store discount, pension, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting development, coaching and training.
• Lead shifts for your area, monitoring colleague performance and reports.
• Coordinate with other Shift Leaders to ensure smooth operations across the RDC.
• Support the Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management.
• Motivate and support your team in line with Company Values.
• Mentor colleagues and support training initiatives.
• Identify inefficiencies and promote lean working methods.
• Perform general warehouse duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns.
