Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Nightshift Store Manager to lead overnight replenishment and maintain safe, high‑standard store operations. You will supervise a team, prioritise deliveries, and ensure shelves are stocked for opening.

The role is full‑time across 4 nights, with a £4,500 premium on top of base salary. You’ll drive customer service, KPI performance, and a supportive, inclusive environment for colleagues during out‑of‑hours trading.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership in the absence of more senior managers.
• Proven success in meeting or exceeding KPIs — sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement.
• Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
• Desirable – has worked night shifts in a high-volume, operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store whilst getting stuck in yourself to prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves.
• Often, you get to run a full store operation on your own overnight being responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store
• Making sure that standards are brilliant come morning so we’re ready to serve our customers
• People management is a big part of the role, managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate.
