Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Nightshift Lead Manager to oversee overnight operations and a team of store managers. You will coordinate replenishment, plan for key trading events, and drive performance metrics across a fast-paced retail environment.

You will manage pay and scheduling, coach staff, and ensure health and safety on shift. The role requires strong leadership, data interpretation skills, and a track record of delivering customer-focused results during out-of-hours trading.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven ability to deliver and improve KPIs across operations.
• Ability to interpret KPI data and drive improvements.
• Experience managing managers and leading in the absence of senior leadership.
• Comfort with night shift patterns and maintaining a safe, healthy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of managers overnight, delivering all replenishment activities for the next morning.
• Plan for upcoming key trading activities in collaboration with store leadership.
• Manage pay, scheduling, training and employee relations; handle performance and disciplinaries.
• Own the store overnight, modelling high standards and efficiency across the store.
• Ensure health and safety of all colleagues on shift.
