Job summary

Ground Control is seeking a Nightshift Administrator in Billericay for a fixed-term maternity cover of approximately three months, working 10-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota within a 24/7 Winter Maintenance operation. You will support operational delivery, manage communications and ensure information is processed accurately.

• Experience in administration, coordination, customer service or operational support in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to build relationships with colleagues, customers and partners.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
• Proactive and solutions-focused with decision-making ownership.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, providing timely support and ensuring stakeholders receive accurate information.
• Support operational teams in real time throughout the night, helping services run smoothly and resolving issues quickly.
• Manage reactive requests and additional works, ensuring they are raised, tracked and completed.
• Monitor operational activity and KPI information, identifying trends and supporting improvements.
• Take ownership of team inboxes and systems, prioritising queries and responding within timescales.
• Escalate issues promptly to address operational, customer or service concerns.
• Raise and manage Health & Safety reports to support compliance and safe working practices.
• Support projects, audits and wider initiatives, maintaining data accuracy and driving improvements.
