Job summary

Oakpark Security Systems LTD based in Colchester is seeking a Security Operations Controller for night shifts on a 42-hour week, 4 on/4 off. You will safeguard sites, respond to incidents, and deliver a professional service to reassure clients while upholding Oakpark’s standards.

The role requires strong communication, IT literacy, and the ability to work under pressure. You’ll use TrackTik and other databases, produce daily reports, and support operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Helpdesk, Call Centre or Control Room operations is desirable.
• Computer literacy across Microsoft Office and bespoke software packages.
• Strong organisational and high-level communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answering and prioritising incoming calls in the Operations Control Room.
• Monitor CCTV and alarms; respond to incidents following procedures.
• Produce shift handovers and daily/weekly reports for clients and management.
• Maintain system data in TrackTik/Chase and support lone worker safety measures.
• Assist Operations Resourcer and cover calls when required.
