Job summary

Tru Talent in Wolverhampton is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles. You will ensure vehicles are safe, reliable and roadworthy, with access to ongoing training and development.

The role offers a 42-hour week, shift pattern Tuesday to Friday, 7:45pm to 6:15am, and a salary of up to £50,000 per year plus shift allowance. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and health and safety standards.
• Complete accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Work effectively as part of a workshop team.
• Respond to call outs when on rota.
