Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established logistics and transport operation on a permanent basis. The role is predominantly night shifts, with a 4-night Monday-Thursday pattern and additional overtime opportunities.

You will service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles, diagnose faults, complete inspections and maintain records, while working safely in a busy transport environment and participating in on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and diagnostic skills for HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and compliant with legislation.
• Carry out fault finding and breakdown repairs where required.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant paperwork.
• Work safely and efficiently within a busy transport and logistics environment.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Saturday overtime available.

Location: Renfrewshire, Scotland

Salary: £23.10 per hour + overtime at £30.72 per hour

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 12-hour night shifts

Overtime: Saturday overtime available + on-call rota

The Role

Requirements

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant HGV or commercial vehicle qualifications are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

• £23.10 per hour basic rate.
• £30.72 per hour overtime rate.
