Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced HGV Technician in Renfrewshire, Scotland for a permanent night-shift role (Mon-Thu, 12-hour nights) with overtime opportunities. The position offers a base rate of £23.10 per hour, overtime at £30.72 per hour, and an on-call rota with additional earning potential.

Additional future shift pattern may be explored. Candidates should have prior HGV/commercial vehicle experience, strong mechanical/diagnostic skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or related role.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Desirable qualifications and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to high standards and compliant with legislation.
• Carry out fault finding and breakdown repairs when required.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant paperwork.
• Work safely and efficiently in a busy transport and logistics environment.
• Participate in the on-call rota; Saturday overtime available.
