Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a permanent night‑shift role in Scotland. The position involves servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles, with on‑call duties and opportunities for overtime.

The role emphasizes diagnosing faults, completing inspections, and maintaining records while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. A strong technical background and the ability to work well in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV/HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain compliant with relevant legislation.
• Carry out fault finding and breakdown repairs where required.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant paperwork.
• Work safely and efficiently within a busy transport and logistics environment.
• Participate in the on‑call rota.
• Saturday overtime available.
