Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an LGV C+E Night Driver (HGV Class 1) to support our distribution service, with Sunday to Thursday shifts and a 17:00–18:30 start time.

You will trunk from Stoke to Hull or Tingley, strap timber loads, and drive safely within Drivers' Hours rules. Applicants must have a C+E licence, CPC, tachograph card and at least 6 months experience; we offer parking, 25 days leave and a strong pension.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV C+E licence and Driver CPC.
• Minimum 6 months LGV C+E experience.
• Experience with strapping loads (timber).

Responsibilities

• Drive safely as per Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Trunk from Stoke to Hull or Tingley; 11/12 hour shifts.
• Load securement including timber products.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an LGV C+E Night Driver (HGV Class 1) to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Work pattern - Sunday to Thursday
• Start time - 17:00-18:30 on a weekly rota
• Trunk from Stoke to Hull or Tingley - 11/12 hour shift
• Trunking of timber products - experience of strapping load required
• Single deck, curtain sided trailers
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Candidates MUST have a minimum of 6 months commercial LGV C+E experience
• Candidates MUST have experience of strapping loads - in this case timber products
• Candidates MUST live locally to Stoke ST1 5PG
