Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Warehouse Section Leader (Nights) to support the 4-on 4-off night operation at Portbury. You will work with the Warehouse Shift Manager to coordinate activity, manage resources and drive performance across the night shift, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You'll monitor KPIs, contribute to attendance and people processes, and produce reports to guide decisions. This hands-on role emphasizes operational leadership without direct line management, with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics or fast-paced environment.
• Ability to coordinate activity and support others.
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages for reports and operations.
• Experience with SAP or similar warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily resource planning to ensure the right people are in the right areas to meet operational demand.
• Coordinate warehouse and outbound activity to move products safely, accurately and on time.
• Monitor KPIs, highlight issues and support actions to improve performance.
• Produce and maintain operational reports using systems and MS Office.
• Support sickness, holidays and colleague availability across the shift.
• Assist with people-related activity including return-to-work conversations.
• Provide clear communication and direction to colleagues across the operation.
• Support induction and development of new starters and training requirements.
• Identify operational issues or risks and help resolve them quickly.
• Champion health and safety and ensure a compliant environment.
• Support wider warehouse activity as priorities change.
• Work with other site areas to maintain communication and handovers.
