Job summary

Gist is seeking a Warehouse Section Leader to join the night team at Portbury, supporting the Warehouse Shift Manager in running a busy operation from 6pm to 6am. You will help with resource planning, KPI monitoring, and ensuring safety and efficiency across the shift.

This hands-on role emphasizes operational leadership without direct line management, focusing on attendance, people processes, and clear team direction within a 4 on, 4 off pattern. Location: Portbury.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/logistics or fast-paced operations.
• Ability to coordinate activity and support colleagues.
• Familiarity with reports and operational information in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP or similar Warehouse Management System.

Responsibilities

• Support daily resource planning to ensure the right people are in the right areas to meet operational demand.
• Coordinate warehouse and outbound activity to move products safely, accurately and on time.
• Monitor KPIs and highlight issues to drive performance improvements.
• Produce and maintain operational reports using systems and Microsoft Office packages.
• Assist with sickness, holidays and colleague availability across the shift.
• Support attendance and people processes as needed and provide clear direction.
• Maintain safety, accuracy and operational standards across the shift.
