Job summary

Abbey House Veterinary Hospital in Morley, Leeds is seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our emergency team. You’ll provide high-quality emergency and critical care during night shifts, working in a Tier 3 hospital with extensive facilities and a collaborative support network.

Salary is £70,000 per annum depending on experience, with a 7 nights on / 14 nights off pattern and full-time hours. You’ll be part of a dedicated team and have access to ongoing CPD and wellbeing support.

• Possesses excellent communication to explain diagnoses and treatment options.

Responsibilities

• Assess, stabilise and manage critically ill or injured patients.
• Perform emergency medical and surgical procedures as needed.
• Develop treatment plans and adjust based on patient response.
• Make evidence-based clinical decisions in challenging situations.
• Handover or discharge patients appropriately and communicate with clients.
• Work with nursing team to deliver excellent patient care and support.
