Job summary

Abbey House Veterinary Hospital in Morley, Leeds, is seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our emergency team. You will manage a wide emergency caseload, perform urgent medical and surgical procedures, and work within a Tier 3 hospital setting.

The role offers a 7 nights on / 14 nights off pattern, with hours 7pm–8:30am, and the chance to develop ECC skills with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with ECC interest and experience.
• Ability to work nights and in emergency settings.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, stabilise and manage critically ill or injured patients.
• Perform emergency medical and surgical procedures.
• Develop treatment plans and adapt to patient response.
• Hand over or discharge patients as appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with clients during difficult situations.
• Collaborate with nursing team to ensure high-quality care.
