Prospect Health is assisting a Leeds area 24‑hour Small Animal Hospital in recruiting an Out of Hours Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon. You will join a well‑established team, manage a diverse emergency caseload, and work on a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota.
The role offers salary £55,000–£60,000 DOE, a supportive environment with mentoring, ongoing CPD funding, and opportunities for further professional development.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Out of Hours Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established RCVS-accredited 24‑hour Small Animal Hospital in the Leeds area.
This role is ideal for a vet with a passion for ECC who is looking to work within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, managing a diverse emergency caseload while enjoying an excellent work‑life balance with a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota.
Permanent Out of Hours position. 7 nights on, followed by 14 nights off. Long‑term rota providing an excellent work‑life balance. Opportunity for additional locum work during time off if desired.
This modern, purpose‑built 24‑hour veterinary hospital provides first‑opinion, referral and emergency care, supporting numerous local practices while maintaining its own busy caseload.
The hospital is equipped with advanced facilities including:
You'll work alongside an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and support staff, with access to in‑house certificate holders in surgery, internal medicine, dentistry and endosurgery.
The dedicated overnight team typically includes a Veterinary Surgeon, Senior RVN, Veterinary Care Assistants, a receptionist during the evening, and twilight nursing support.
