Job summary

Lineage is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join the Transport team at Hams Hall. You will work closely with the Transport Manager to keep operations safe, efficient and compliant, serving drivers and customers with a proactive approach.

The role involves coordinating drivers, wages, and paperwork, plus using Excel to manage time and driving data. It offers a permanent position with career development within a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics.

Qualifications

• Previous transport supervision or operational experience in a busy transport environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Experience managing drivers’ hours and transport legislation.
• Clear, professional English communication with drivers and stakeholders.
• Proficient IT skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers to ensure resources meet the operation.
• Complete driver wages and holiday administration on time.
• Monitor daily driver activity and paperwork.
• Assist with agency bookings, costings and filings.
• Monitor driver infringements and ensure signing.
• Enter driving time data using Excel and act on issues.
• Deliver training to drivers on electronic pads.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and MOTs.
• Monitor vehicle defects and escalate issues.
• Report RTAs and near misses to support safety.
• Order site fuel and monitor requirements.
• Share best practices with transport network peers.
• Look for improvements and be solutions-focused.
